What is Family Sponsorship
Canadian citizen sponsors a family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling) to immigrate. Sponsorship creates obligation: sponsor must support them financially for commitment period.
Eligible Relations
Spouse/common-law partner, dependent children, parents (citizen must be 18+), grandparents, siblings (under certain conditions). Each has different processing times and requirements.
Sponsorship Timeline
